Welcome
Praise Be To Jesus Christ Our One True God!
Saints Peter and Paul is a young and growing Orthodox community seeking to fulfill Christ’s commandment to love God and one another. It is our sincere desire to be a living expression of Christ’s power and love to those who are searching for Truth and a deeper spiritual life.
So many in this highly fragmented Western Christian world today are searching for, or are attempting to recreate the “New Testament” Church. It does not need to be searched for any longer – it is here in Holy Orthodoxy. It does not need to be recreated – it never ceased to exist.
Saint Peter and Paul Orthodox Church is a Western-Rite Parish of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America under His Eminence Metropolitan PHILIP (Saliba). The Antiochian Orthodox Church is one of the original Five Patriarchical Christian Churches in Ancient Christianity along with Rome, Constantinople, Alexandria and Jerusalem. “…they were first called Christians at Antioch.” (Acts 11:26). The Antiochian Orthodox Church, like the Greek Orthodox Church, is one of the major jurisdictions that comprises what is commonly known as the Eastern Orthodox Church, Orthodox Catholic Church or simply Orthodoxy in America.
Saints Peter & Paul Orthodox Church is not an ethnic parish per se, as many people tend to think of Orthodoxy (i.e. Greek, Russian, Romanian, Serbian, etc… Although we do certainly welcome and have some parishioners from these rich backgrounds). We are uniquely an American Orthodox Church that worships God within the framework of a Western-Rite Liturgy which honors the heritage of Christians from Western Europe and America. We are a growing family Church with a vibrant and healthy life in Christ Jesus. We are committed to bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to our little corner of the world here in the spa-city of Hot Springs. God’s desire is for all to come to know Him, and we are here to invite people into a relationship with the Living God and His Church here on earth.
You are invited!
Information is always helpful, but it can never replace experience, therefore, we here at Sts. Peter & Paul extend to you an invitation to “come and see” and visit with us and the saints of all ages in worship of our Glorious Savior Jesus Christ some Sunday morning at 10:30 am!
Your servant in Christ,
Father John Denzil Roland, Pastor
